HID Driver Service fixed {NEW RELEASE}

Hi,
With this fix, the service will now run in automatic mode if you like to, so you don’t have to start the driver ever again.

The TUIO mode takes the 3330 TUIO port as input. Allows you to run TUIO apps and the Windows 7 driver simultaneously with the CCV 1.3 dual port mod. Procede with the regular install of the driver then use these run files when done. Port 3330 is also used by the service.
Download link :

You can know use those files and follow this post :

http://cktouch.fr.nf/index.php?post...

to install the driver as Service, just skip the download of the MTV release.

Feel free to contact me if you have any problems with this, and I’d love some feedbacks…

This feature, along side with others, will be implemented in my Win7 customized ISO when released.

This software edited by CKTouch can’t be used for commercial purposes without at least noticing the author.

Enjoy!

VIP Goodies and public release plans {UPDATE}

Hi,
The VIP Section hosts now a mod of CCV 1.3 with dual TUIO port support and TUIO + FLASH mode. This mod combined with the modified Windows 7 driver available also in the VIP Section allows you to use Windows 7, flash apps and tuio apps at the same time.
I will realease soon a fixed version of the Service Driver so you won’t need to launch anything ever to get touch support on Windows 7. {UPDATE – RELEASED FOR VIP}

Those goodies will probably be available for the public in July, definitly in August, when my exams are done and after I update my site for an easier use and a better design…

Here is also a little teasing :
I’ll be releasing this summer two majors things.
– a Multitouch Suite with all needed tools to get started (CCV, Driver, demo apps) and in option some other tools.
– a customized Windows 7 DVD ISO with a multitouch ready OS (plug-and-play system).

Cheers.

Teasing UPDATE : MORE

Hi,
Here is a quick post because I don’t have time to do more, but I didn’t want all my beloved readers to be helpless without any news from me…

I don’t have time right now because of exams but I wanted to tell you what was planned for the summer…

Here are some surprises I will unveile this summer :
– CCV 1.3 mod with dual TUIO port broadcasting and all-in-on com mode (dual tuio + flash, dual tuio + flash +binary).
– CCV 1.3 with broadcasting features from previous mod, and fiducials capabilities.
– Windows 7 Driver with changed input port to get TUIO apps working while using the driver. This combined with the CCV 1.3 Fiducials let us use the driver with fiducials at the same time.
– Windows 7 Service Driver fixed (for me it doesn’t run automaticly on start up without the fix) : automatic launch will be available, no need for anything to launch after driver and service install are complete.

I hope you can wait until this summer… 😉

If you want to support my work, fell free to donate with the Paypal tool at the right of the screen, everything will go for MT developments.

Have a nice day !

HID Driver as Windows Service

THIS IS WHEN YOU’RE DONE WITH INSTALLING THE HID DRIVER, FOR THAT PLEASE REFER TO THE POST CALLED “HID DRIVER INSTALL”

Hi,
So, I’ve published the HID Driver from Daniel D and the package called “MultitouchVista driver release” but I didn’t tell you what to do with the second one.
With the HID Driver, I had you guys launching all those multitouch.service.console.exe, and multitouch.driver.console.exe… not very good…
So after installing the HID Driver as instructed in one of the previous posts, here is how to install all that as Windows Service, so you’ll have just ccv to launch…

THIS IS WHEN YOUR FINE WITH THE HID DRIVER, IF NOT PLEASE REFER TO THE PREVIOUS POST.

I must warn you, the instructions are maybe missing some parts or explanations because I don’t know exactly what I did since the beginning to enable it, but I’m almost sure that’s it, and if it doesn’t work with you, just PM me on the forum or contact me, and I’ll find the missing piece…!!!
So here it is :
First have the HID driver installed as told earlier.
Then download the archive called “MultitouchVista Driver release” down here…
Extract everything somewhere you won’t delete it… (I don’t know if you can delete it after installing it, but I guess not)
Then you’ll need a command called installutil.exe in the command line of windows.
To enable this function, you have to install a windows SDK, the vista one or the win7 one. Here is a link to the win7 sdk BETA, the one I use :

http://download.microsoft.com/downl...

After installing the SDK, type in the Start Menu Search box : cmd, and launch as admin the one called CMD Shell (or the one called cmd of you have only this option)…
Navigate to the folder where you’ve extracted the archive… (using the cd command, you shoudl be able to find help on that on google, or contact me).
Then type : installutil.exe Multitouch.Driver.Service.exe and press enter.
Some crap should scrol in the box and then close it.
Now launch the services manager of windows 7 (type services in the start menu search box, it will find it.
Scroll down until you find a service called Multitouch Driver, double clic on it and then choose start to launch it.
(Some firewall can block the UDP listening of the driver, so if you have any notification from your firewall, allow the application to have acces to internet, then shutdown the service (with several try because you’ll get some error messages) and then restart it).
Close all the box, launch ccv and enable tuio protocol…
This should do the trick.
As i said, some parts could be missing so don’t panic, send me a quick feedback and I’ll help you fixing that…
Cya !!!!!

MultitouchVista Driver Release

THIS IS JUST A DOWNLOAD LINK RELEASE, NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HID DRIVER FOR WIN7 INSTALL, PLEASE REFER TO PREVIOUS POSTS FOR THAT, TO SEE WHAT TO DO WITH THIS ONE, PLEASE REFER TO THE POST “HID DRIVER AS SERVICE”
I’ve been publishing updates of the source code compiled of the MultitouchVista Driver from Daniel D codeplex page (tks Daniel), and now are the release of the driver with only the files you need to have the driver/service running.
Those release are now enough stable to be used instead of the sourcecode pack, but I’ll keep the source code updated anyway.

Here is the link to the archive :

And here is a link to Daniel D Codeplex Page if you need any help to install this or if you are just curious :

HID Driver Install

Hi,
Now that the driver is online and compiled, I have a lot of questions on how to install it… and run it with ccv or tbeta or anysoftware that send over tuio/osc…
First I want to thank Daniel D for his wonderful work on this driver…

SEE PREVIOUS POST TO DOWNLOAD THE DRIVER

So when you have downloaded the archive, extract everything in a folder.
Go into Main Source, Multitouch Driver, and then again in Multitouch.Driver.

IF you’re working under x64, go into the x64 folder, right click on the devcon.exe file, select properties, go in the compatibility tab, select “launch as administrator” and hit OK, then go back to the previous folder.

Then right click on the x32 or x64 (depends of your configuration) folder while holding SHIFT, then click on open a windows command here. If you don’t have this open in the right click menu, you can also open a commande line window and navigate to this foler.
type in “install driver.cmd” don’t forget the ” ”
(an other window opens)

Allow the driver to be installed.

When the second box closes, close the first one.

Now go in the Windows device manager.
Under Interactions Devices, find the Universal software HID device
Right click on it, disable, accept, DON’T RESTART
Wait a second,
Right click on it, enable…
Close the device manager.

You can skip this it you don’t want the visual pointer : Now go in the Pen and Touch Configuration panel. go in the touch tab, enable everything (not necessarily the visual pointer as you wish…)… close the box by pressing OK

Now back in the Main Source folder. Go into the Output folder.
Run multitouch.service.console.exe (a command box opens)
Then run configuration service wpf.exe (the exe with a hand as an icon), click on tuio, click on the big blue arrow, click on restart service, close the window.
Close the multitouch.service.console.exe

NOW HOW TO RUN IT :
launch ccv or tbeta, configure it si it can see only your finger, do the calibration… then enable sending tuio (the one that sends over the 3333 port)
run from main source/output the multitouch.service.console.exe
run from the same folder the multitouch.driver.console.exe

now it should work, you should be able to control Seven with your touch…
